Happy Friday, friends! Would you look at this?! I appear to be on a blogging roll now! Let’s see if we can keep it going!
Today I want to highlight one of my favorite projects that happened over the super busy summer season! We collaborated with the Department of Agra Culture on stationery card sets designed specifically for her pop-ups and online store. If you haven’t worked with another human on a project in a while, I highly suggest it!
For me, the struggle in creating new products for my own shop is just that, creating it! First, I always push my own designs to the back of the line and “get to it when I can”. Secondly, there’s zero direction or inspiration! Just me and my blank paper and blank screen. It’s one of the hardest things I do. I love having a purpose and a plan, and then someone to show it to that will be able to give me honest feedback!
For this set of cards, we were inspired by Lauren’s first curating trip to India! It’s easy to fall in love with their amazing color schemes and architectural patterns. Here’s the images & colors we used for inspiration for the sets.
And here’s how they all turned out! Each design was hand drawn or painted by yours truly! It was so much fun to see them all come to life from tiny pieces of scrap designs. These photos are from The Department of Agra Culture’s Look Book, taken by the super sweet, and equally as talented Lauren Tomasella Photography.
