Without a doubt, this was one of my favorite styled shoots of the year! I hold this location dear, dear to my heart. This beautiful shoot was also featured on Burnett’s Boards! From the Paella Bar to the Flowers to the Cake to the Sangria, everything about this shoot was simply magical, just like I imagine Old Spain. Some styled shoots come together better than others, and this was certainly the case! Ah, and let’s not forget the weather! We cancelled the first date of this shoot because of rain, but it was definitely worth the wait. One of the first beautiful days in March!
I feel like Ashley from White Rabbit Studios said it best, “Among the romance, we wanted to highlight the elegant lace, Spanish tiles, and the colors marsala and ivory. From using castanets (“castañuelas”) for seating cards to a traditional Paella bar, the team brought elements of old Spain to life. A cigar bar was created for the groom and his friends. Churros, a very special Spanish dessert, had its own station, complete with chocolate, dulce de leche, and raspberry toppings! Finally, the signature drink was the Sangria – which is almost as famous as the matadors and bulls themselves!”
The invitations are hand stamped and embossed with copper, with digital printing of the text. The subtle pop of blue in the envelope really make the suite for me! The table number was another favorite thing from this shoot. We kept the lace theme going in the signage for the food and bride & groom chairs.
We even managed to snap an iPhone shot of most of the vendors before we left! Thanks to everyone for making it an incredible styled shoot! Let’s play again soon!
