Perhaps my favorite post of the year, and most popular, because everyone loves a beautiful year-end-review blog, right?! 2017 was bigger, and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and I’m not even talking about bringing a human into this world. We worked with dozens of brides, even with our three month maternity leave, and the gorgeous scale is off. The. Charts! Narrowing down this year’s Top Ten was harder than ever. As we approach our four year birthday, we are more thankful than ever for each and every bride that chooses Salt + Paperie. We’ve got some beautiful things already in the works for 2018, and we would love for your suite to make our 2018 Top Ten blog. Below you’ll find our Top Ten for 2017!
Coral + Floral Pocket Suite
Caroline knew what she wanted, but wasn’t able to quite put in to words what she envisioned for her wedding suite. After a few revisions, we were thrilled with these beautiful coral pockets that paired perfectly with her coral, peach and gold color scheme. If you’re an A-type bride, these pockets were made for you! Sealed with wax, they keep everything organized to a T!

Timeless Black + Blush Suite
Ashley was simply a dream to work with, and her suite will definitely be a favorite for years to come because it’s classic, and timeless. She wanted a bit of blush, so we added the belly band, but honestly this suite could be used with any color belly band. We are particularly fond of the printed initials in the wreath, which fully balance out the curliness of the names in calligraphy.
Dainty Gray Floral Suite
Ah Daniele, the sweetest, cheeriest soul! We seriously could not look at her wedding photos without smiling myself! Perhaps that’s why her suite was an easy choice for our Top Ten blog! Gray was definitely a 2017 trend, but the little details of this floral wreath, and the classic monogram topping the invitation, made this gray suite extra special. Daniele also chose one of our newly trending ideas of using a digital RSVP for your friends, and a few traditional RSVPs for the older crowd! And, that thin gray ribbon… the perfect gray accent.

Organic + Traditional Suite
Meeting with Meredith, she was very certain as to what she wanted. She had more of a modern-organic vibe, but her mom wanted to keep things traditional. Enter another great compromised solution, the pocket. Combined with a textured paper, some pops of green, and a wooden monogram + belly band combo, you’ve got a happy bride and a happy mom. That’s our ultimate goal—to make everyone happy! Also, I am that A-type person, and love the organization that the pocket provides. This pocket was a beautiful, shimmery champagne color and gave just enough bling to keep it from being too casual.

Gray, Marsala + Gold Suite
Anyone who chooses to embrace their wedding colors, and go with colored envelopes and white ink has my vote for Top Ten. I adored Christina’s vision, and was so excited to see it all come together so beautifully along with the rest of their wedding day! Those colored envelopes really steal the show, but the watercolor florals, map and belly band aren’t too shabby either! A designer’s dream!

Elegant Charcoal Letterpress Suite
Letterpress is by far my favorite type of printing, and although it’s not in everyone’s price range, it’s not too crazy! If you’re thinking about letter pressing your wedding invitations, you’re highlighly likely to make the Top Ten because I love it so, so much! These charcoal gray letterpressed invitations are no exception! I know you can’t “feel” a photo, but the detail shots of this suite are about as good as you can get. I’m so thankful Alex believed in the beauty of simplicity and letterpress!

Coastal Watercolor Floral Suite
Katie was a bride that was made for me. She believed in wedding branding more than any other bride in 2017, and I just loved her for that! Each piece of her suite was carefully curated, and chosen, right down to the blue text to match her bridesmaid’s dresses! I especially love her map for her destination location, and her monogram, with the dainty floral additions. If you’re into florals, there’s nothing not to love about this beautiful wedding suite.

Traditional Bordered Gold Foil Suite
We pride ourselves on riding the fence between modern and classic when it comes to invitations, but this invitation is as classic as it gets, and we couldn’t love it more. Fit for any season, this gold foil suite will literally go with any classic wedding style. Natalie knew exactly what she wanted with this beautiful loopy font, and classic double-lined border. Any easy favorite for years to come!

Show-stopping Rose Gold Suite
Working with Anna was such a dream! She is one of those brides that I’ve never met, but kind of think we might be friends if she lived here. Anna’s suite is near the top because of the fantastic font and use of rose gold foil (our first!) It’s so shiny, and beautiful that it’s almost hard to capture it’s unique color in a photo. A suite with so much glory, but an overall simplistic design will always be worthy of a Top Ten spot! GORGEOUS!

Oversized Gold Foil + Navy Letterpress Suite
There’s almost no words to describe this suite, and how perfect it turned out! You can’t tell from this photo, but this invitation is huge! It’s a fabulous A9 size on double thick paper and is seriously such a show stopper! The combination of the gold foil and letterpress had me a little worried at first, but it is tied together so perfectly with this navy foil-stamped belly band. Oh, and that map?! Simply perfect… and who gets to have their reception at Regions Field?! Amazing.
A special thanks to Becky’s Brides for putting us together with Haley!
